Solis alarm 1020: DC overvoltage or DC boost circuit fault
Solis alarm code 1020 usually means the inverter has detected an issue on the DC side of the solar system. This may relate to high DC input voltage or a DC boost circuit fault inside the inverter.
Alarm code 1020 may appear as:
- OV-DC
- BoostFal
When this happens, the inverter may stop operating or interrupt feed-in operation to protect itself from damage.
This is not a normal operating message and should be treated seriously if it keeps coming back. DC overvoltage may be linked to too many panels in series, incorrect string configuration, DC wiring issues, inverter input limits or a fault affecting the inverter’s DC boost circuit.
