Solis alarm 1010: Grid overvoltage
Solis alarm code 1010 usually means the inverter has detected that the grid voltage is higher than the permitted operating range. Depending on the exact message displayed, the inverter may detect sustained overvoltage, short-term voltage spikes or voltage levels that remain above grid compliance limits for an extended period.
Alarm code 1010 may appear as:
- OV-G-V 01
- OV-G-V 02
- OV-G-V 03
- OV-G-V 04
- OV-G-V 05
When this happens, the inverter may temporarily stop exporting power to protect both the solar system and the electricity network.
This is usually not an internal inverter fault. In many cases, the inverter is responding correctly to high voltage conditions coming from the grid. High grid voltage can occur during periods of strong solar production, particularly in areas where many nearby solar systems are exporting electricity at the same time.
The inverter will often reconnect automatically once voltage levels return to the permitted operating range.
