Growatt Inverter Error Code 407
Growatt error 407: Self-test error
Growatt error code 407 usually means the inverter has failed an internal self-test during startup or system checking. When this happens, your inverter may stop operating or fail to connect to the grid.
This is not a normal operating message and should not be ignored if it keeps appearing.
A self-test error may be linked to inverter software, internal hardware, firmware behaviour, relay checks, grid connection issues or another fault preventing the inverter from passing its safety checks.
Book a solar inverter check with e-Solar
If the code appears once and clears after a restart, your inverter may have recovered from a temporary startup or self-test issue.
If Growatt error code 407 keeps returning, your solar output has dropped, or the inverter is not operating normally, it is worth having the system checked. Our Perth solar experts can inspect the inverter, review the fault history and help determine whether the issue is linked to self-test failure, inverter hardware, firmware, relay behaviour, grid conditions or another system fault.
Contact e-Solar and let us know:
- The exact error code on the screen or app
- When the code appears
- Whether your solar production has dropped
- Your inverter model, if you know it
Do not open the inverter or attempt electrical testing yourself. If the issue is persistent, a qualified technician may need to assess inverter startup behaviour, internal safety checks, fault logs and system operation before recommending repair, warranty support or replacement.
