Fronius Inverter Error Code 766
Fronius error 766: Emergency power de-rating has been activated
Fronius error code 766 usually means emergency power derating has been activated. This means the inverter has reduced its output to protect the system or operate within safe limits.
When this happens, your inverter may continue operating, but it may produce less power than expected. In some cases, the inverter may also show reduced performance through your monitoring app or Solar.web.
This type of code may be linked to inverter settings, system configuration, grid conditions, backup power behaviour, internal inverter protection or another system issue that requires professional assessment.
Let e-Solar check your inverter and solar system safety
If Fronius error code 766 appears once and clears by itself, it may have been triggered by a temporary system condition.
If the code keeps returning, your solar production has dropped, or the inverter is regularly reducing output, it is worth having the system checked.
Our Perth solar experts can inspect your inverter, review event logs, assess system configuration, check inverter settings and help determine whether the issue is linked to derating behaviour, grid conditions, backup power settings, inverter protection or another system fault.
Contact e-Solar and let us know:
- The exact error code on the screen or app
- When the code appears
- Whether your solar production has dropped
- Your inverter model, if you know it
Do not open the inverter or attempt internal setting changes yourself. If the issue is persistent, a qualified technician may need to review the inverter configuration, event history, system settings and electrical conditions safely.
