Fronius Inverter Error Code 304
Fronius error 304: Internal temperature too high
Fronius error code 304 usually means part of the inverter is running too hot. Depending on your Fronius model, this may relate to the internal inverter temperature (Primo) or the AC module temperature (Symo).
When this happens, your inverter may temporarily reduce output or pause operation to protect internal components from heat damage.
This can happen during very hot weather, when the inverter is exposed to direct sunlight, when airflow around the inverter is restricted, or when dust and debris are affecting ventilation.
Let e-Solar check your inverter and ventilation
If the code appears once on a very hot day and clears by itself, your inverter may simply be reacting to high operating temperatures. The inverter will usually resume normal operation once it cools down.
If Fronius error code 304 keeps returning, it is worth having the system checked. Our Perth solar team can inspect the inverter, review the installation environment and help determine whether the issue is linked to ventilation, heat exposure, dust build-up, cooling airflow or an internal inverter fault.
Contact e-Solar and let us know:
- The exact error code on the screen or app
- When the code appears
- Whether your solar production has dropped
- Your inverter model, if you know it
Do not open the inverter or attempt electrical testing yourself. If the issue is persistent, a qualified technician may need to inspect the inverter location, airflow, cooling systems and internal operating temperatures to find the cause safely.
